The Inspiring Journey of Shobha Dwivedi: From Dreams to Reality
Hello everyone, I am Shobha Dwivedi, a simple girl with dreams as vast as the sky. For me, family has always been my first priority. With a humble beginning, my journey has been one of determination, perseverance and unwavering hope.
Currently, I work at IGI Airport as a Trainee Security Executive with SpiceJet Airline, a role I take immense pride in, but reaching here was not easy—it was a road paved with challenges, resilience and the belief that no obstacle is insurmountable.
As a child, I dreamed of achieving something big, aspiring to careers like UPSC or PCS. However, financial difficulties in my family meant that even completing my graduation (B.A. in Arts) was an uphill battle. Despite these challenges, I never let go of my dreams.
After finishing 12th, I pursued my graduation from home amidst great difficulties. To support my family and myself, I worked as a schoolteacher for six months. It was during this time that my cousin introduced me to the world of aviation—a turning point in my life.
For a girl who had never stepped out of her hometown, convincing my family to allow me to move to Delhi was a monumental challenge. After much persuasion, I arrived in Delhi, brimming with hope but without a job. For two months and 15 days, I struggled to find work, all while managing the financial pressures back home.
Finally, I got my break. I was selected as a CSE with Digi Yatra at IGI Airport. That one year with Digi Yatra introduced me to the fascinating world of aviation. It ignited a spark within me, showing me the possibilities that lay ahead.
When I learned about an opening in SpiceJet Security, a friend encouraged me to apply. Though hesitant, I gave it a shot—and to my surprise, I was selected! Joining SpiceJet was like stepping into a dream. From English language classes in ASTI to seeing an aircraft up close for the first time, every experience felt surreal.
Receiving my first salary with SpiceJet was a milestone. It was the highest amount I had ever earned and the joy of contributing to my family’s well-being was unparalleled. Slowly but surely, I began to see my childhood dreams take flight.
As I delved deeper into the responsibilities and duties of aviation security, I realized that I was exactly where I was meant to be. The Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), the discipline and the precision of this field resonated with me. It was as if my childhood aspirations had found their true purpose.
This belief was further strengthened by a quote I hold close to my heart: “God does not do what we like; God does what is good for us.” Indeed, every twist and turn in my journey has been part of a bigger plan.
Amidst the hustle and challenges of work, my passion for singing has been a constant source of strength and personal growth. My SpiceJet family, including my seniors and colleagues, has always recognized and appreciated my talent. Their unwavering support and encouragement have given me the confidence to refine my skills and embrace my individuality.
Through singing, I have not only gained confidence but also learned the value of self-expression, teamwork and connecting with others on a deeper level. It has become an integral part of my journey, shaping me into a more well-rounded individual.
Today, I feel immense pride in being able to give back to my family. From supporting my family to ensuring a comfortable life for my loved ones—I owe it all to my journey with SpiceJet.
One of my most cherished moments was being able to take my entire family on a flight with my airline—a dream that once seemed impossible.
SpiceJet has not only given me a career but also opportunities for growth. Through the company, I am now completing my AVSEC training, as I am learning new things every day and continuously working to improve myself.
I am deeply grateful to my company, my seniors and my colleagues for their unwavering support. Their belief in me fuels my dedication to work with honesty, integrity and passion. My SpiceJet family has been instrumental in turning my dreams into reality.
As I continue this journey, I remain committed to fulfilling the expectations of my company while nurturing my personal passions. To my SpiceJet family and everyone who has been a part of this incredible journey, thank you for your support, encouragement and belief in me.
